Antique English Vintage Solid Elm 4ft Kitchen / Hall Bench / Seat (Circa 1950). This is a fine quality. Which is 4ft wide, boasting a stunning colour and grain configuration, circa 1950, in excellent original condition. Item: Hall / Kitchen Bench. Single plank seat (sign of quality). Ideal as a kitchen or hall bench. The bench boasts a single plank solid elm seat, which is a sign of quality, but with the appearance of a rustic / country piece.

Below the seat, a simple straight frieze to the front and rear is present. The seat is raised on slab ends, united by a sturdy stretcher bar, secured with tradition tapering pegs on pad blocks.

The bench has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The elm hall bench would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway or kitchen, or in a bay window.

This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. Nominal old use marks to the top of the seat (see photos) and leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The elm hall bench has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard.

There are not breaks to the seat, frame or legs. The bench is well constructed, solid in joint (it does not wobble) and is ready to use.
