Vintage English Hallmarked Sterling Silver Victorian Style Frame Keyford 1988

Elevate your cherished memories with a lovely small vintage English silver photograph frame. This Victorian repousse style frame bears the hallmarks for Sterling, London and the stylized date letter "O" for 1988.

It also has the maker's mark of KFLd which represents the firm of Keyword Frames Ltd. Although short lived, this company produced designs which successfully embraced both the aesthetic and craftsmanship of the Victorian Era. The frame is in very nice vintage condition.

The silver itself is excellent, but it does have some stubborn tarnish remaining in the crevices of the design. The silver is mounted on a frame of black velvet, which is now somewhat faded and worn, particularly around the front edges. In addition, the silver facia is not mounted entirely flush with the edges of the frame.

Frankly, instead of these slight imperfections detracting from the appearance of the frame, they serve to give it an authentic antique look. With its intricate foliage pattern and ornate design, this frame evokes old world elegance.
