Solid oak case with stunning patina and colour to it. Superb proportions with a fixed hood which has a glazed hinged door to gain access to the movement.

On either side their is a glazed panel through which the movement can be seen working away. The case is in excellent condition with only minimal age marks with original finish. This clock has been scratch built by an english master clock maker and is of the highest quality imaginable with some great features.

Silvered chapter ring dial through the centre you can see the movement. Black roman numerals with original steel hands. Dial is in excellent condition, the dial is marked Germany which relates to the dial only and the maker decided to use this dial. English 8 day single weight driven timepiece movement with maintaining power and passing strike feature.

The passing strike means it will strike the bell once on every hour. Comes supplied with its original pendulum and brass weight. The top of the plates have fantastic castle top design to them which is of superb quality. Maintaining power lever sits on the one side and can be pulled with the cord before winding the clock which provides power for a short while while winding the weight back up so the clock keeps spot on time and does not lose time when winding. Movement is in full working order keeping good time as can be seen in the video above. The clock to the bottom of the pendulum measures 24 inches high x 9.25 inches wide x 8 inches deep (at deepest).

The weight drop measures 56 inches on a full drop from underneath of the case. The dial measures 6 inches diameter.

This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. A superb hooded wall clock not often seen for sale especially like this of superb quality.

Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Exceptional clock which will only grow in value in years to come.
