Vintage English 18th Century Style Oak Rectangular Coffee Table With Two Drawers (Circa 1980). This is a good quality vintage English 18th century style rectangular solid rectangular oak coffee table, comprising two drawers, displaying a mellow colour, circa 1980, in excellent original condition.

Item: Rectangular Oak Coffee Table. Width = 114.3cm / 45" / 3ft 9".

Heavy & solid in joint. The rectangular oak coffee table incorporates a solid oak boarded top, constructed with cleated ends, two working drawers below, against a shaped frieze. The two drawers are constructed with oak drawer linings and dovetail joints; they run smoothly and close flush to the frame.

The drawer fronts are decorated with cushion moulded fronts with turned oak knobs. The rectangular oak coffee table is raised on ring turned legs on block feet and united by a central stretcher. The 18th century style oak table has been constructed in the traditional mortice and tenon pegged construction method. This oak magazine table is solid in joint and ready to use.

As the rectangular oak coffee table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This 18th century style coffee would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the living room, as a magazine / centre table.
