A beautiful vintage English 12 setting silver plated cutlery canteen by Cooper Bros & Sons, mid 20th Century in date. It is silver plate with stainless steel blades and is in the classic and desirable Kings pattern.
The set is housed in a lovely walnut canteen fitted in green felt. This is the complete set - 108 pieces. It is highly unusual to find such a nice patterned set and with not even a single piece missing!

The firm was founded in 1866 in Sheffield as Cooper Bros. In a directory of 1871 their address is given as 14½ High Street and they are described as manufacturers of electro-plated and nickel silver cutlery. In 1895 the business became a limited liability company under the name of Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd. In 1983 the business was acquired by Frank Cobb & Co.
