Our Stock # 18.6542. This is a vintage Asprey's of London reference library. An English, leather-bound compendium of 8 books, replete with oak display stand, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1925. Lovingly thumbed over the last century.

Displaying a timeworn, desirable patina. Leather bound in dark russet hues with beautiful gilt pages. Displayed on an angled, oak book shelf.

Binding to covers has come loose from seven of the set. All covers present, one replacement spine. Internal quality of each book is fortunately in very good order. Covers topics such as French and Latin quotes, the Classics and a French & English Dictionary. An Asprey's Gazettee, Encyclopaedia and World Atlas make for fascinating, period reference. This is a fantastic vintage reference library, whose tomes have been graced by enthusiastic users for decades. Well suited for ornamental display on a desk or for the bibliophile collector.
