VINTAGE 38 Piece ART DECO Silver Plate CUTLERY CANTEEN by Oliver & Bower Sheffield. Here we have for sale a lovely vintage 38 piece silver plate cutlery canteen that was made by Oliver & Bower Ltd of Sheffield and dates from the 1930s. This set comes in a period wood canteen case. The silver plated cutlery is in the ever-popular Old English pattern. It is complete for 6 place settings and comprises 38 pieces in total, grouped as follows. 6 x Dinner Forks (Length: 19.5cm). 6 x Dinner Knives (Length: 24cm). 6 x Dessert Forks (Length: 17.5cm). 6 x Dessert Knives (Length: 21cm).

6 x Dessert Spoons (Length: 18.5cm). 6 x Teaspoons (Length: 13.5cm). 2 x Serving Spoons (Length: 21.5cm). 1 x Canteen Case - 34cm x 28cm x 7cm. Weight of set incl case: approximately 5kg.

The knives are stainless steel with silver plated handles. The remaining pieces are all silver plated. The cutlery polishes beautifully as pictured. The high quality cutlery is in excellent condition for its age and appears only lightly used with only occasional very minor wear here and there.

The case's exterior is in very good vintage condition with only a few minor scratches and wear here and there. The case's hinges are in full working order and the lid lifts smoothly to 90 degrees.
