The Girl's Own Annual 1892 Vintage Antique Leather Bound Hardback VGC

An annual of the Girl's Own Paper containing every issue of the weekly paper published between October 1891 to September 1892 with many illustrations in the text alongside two colour plates and 10 monochrome plates. Running running from 1880 to 1956 the girls own paper featured stories, poetry illustrations, educational articles as well as columns on manners and fashion. In its first 30 years of paper also published a great deal of music including musical scores by women composers.

The annual includes index at the rear. This is truly beautiful copy. This book has been leather bound at the spine with leather corners and an illustrated plate slightly rubbed at edges onlay to the front board.

There is a neat previous owner signature to the front end paper This copy is remarkably clean bright and tight for its age with just a slight colour run stain to the rearendpaper and rear pastedown corners. Small tear to the Loftiest churches illustration.
