A super-solid large antique repro gilt frame, with excellent border detail & a wonderful colourisation, of softly mottled golds with bole reds coming through Measuring approximately 27 & 3/4" by 21 & 3/4" (External) With a rebate size (to fit a picture) of 24 & 1/4" by 18 & 1/4" (Internal) Or, in centimetres 61.5cm by 46.5cm Sight size is 23 & 1/2" by 17 & 1/2"... Dating at a guess to the 1950s this is a fine large antique repro gilt frame, swept to the corners, with bags of character & charm, it has wonderful colourisation & a shapely border, with elaborate cartouche corner sections, the joints of which are very solid...
