Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months. Amazing mystery mantel clock called "The Greenwich Meridian Clock" by John Mercer Exeter. The case has an ebonised base and top with the movement and dials sitting to the middle. Their is a plaque round the middle which has the name on it as well as a brass plaque signed john Mercer Exeter and the serial number 5/750. Silvered band dials around the centre which rotate. Engraved 12 hour roman numerals to the hour dial and arabic numerals to the minutes dial. Dial is in excellent original condition and looks fantastic. English 8 day skeleton clock movement with platform escapement. The clock movement is driven by a spring which is wound up from underneath. Movement is in full working order keeping excellent time as you can see in the video above. The clock measures 7.75 inches high x 5 inches diameter.

This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Exceptional clock which will only grow in value and one of the best ones i have ever had the pleasure to offer for sale and you wont find one quite like this for a while.

ALL antique clocks after transport no matter how well they have been looked after or serviced may require setting up, adjustments and setting into beat when you receive them and i always recommend a professional or an experienced clock person to do this correctly for you. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case.
