Stunning simple case design with the mystery rack gravity movement as the main vocal point Sits with a solid oak base and a marble platform on top, the base has 4 brass bun feet Case is in excellent original condition with a stunning finish White painted dial in excellent condition Roman numerals and original moon hands The dial is signed by the clock makers Thwaites & Reed Clerkenwell London English 8 day gravity timepiece movement with platform escapement Movement is wound by lifting the movement up to the top of the toothed stem The movement turns over by the pressure of gravity pulling the weight of the movement down Movement is in full working order keeping excellent time Thwaites & Reed London C1973 The clock measures 21 inches high x 10.25 inches wide x 6.75 inches deep.

Stunning rare Thwaites & Reed mystery gravity table clock all in full working order. The case is made up of a solid oak base with a marble platform on top and the solid bronze stem to the centre which has a acorn finial to the top. The stem has a black inlay to the front and back faces with teeth going down the one side which connect to the movement. Their is a silvered plaque to the front and the back, the front say Pearl D. Fisher and the back one gives you the edition number of 178/500 and that it was made in circa 1973 by Thwaites & Reed Limited. The clock has a simple design but is still very impressive on display. Painted white dial in excellent condition. Roman numerals and original moon hands.

The dial is in excellent original condition signed by the clock makers Thwaites & Reed, Clerkenwell London. English 8 day mystery gravity clock movement with platform escapement. The clock movement is driven by the weight of the movement being pulled down by gravity where the internal wheel of the movement connects to the teeth on the centre stem which in turn turns the movement over.

Movement is in full working order keeping excellent time as you can see in the video above. The clock measures 21 inches high x 10.25 inches wide x 6.75 inches deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room.
