Rare original antique vintage cast iron AYESGARTH Village Town Road Sign

Here we have a rare and original antique vintage cast iron AYESGARTH Village Town Road Sign. The old cast iron road sign is for AYESGARTH which is we believe a Town / Village located in Fleet in Hampshire, the sign is about 69cm (27.1/8") long and about 12.5cm (5") wide with letters of about 8.5cm (3.3/8) in size, and the sign has a fixing hole to each end, it still retains some of its old original Black paint background and old white paint to the lettering which is now a very off white colour due to its age and weathering, the weight is about 4900 grams.
