Here is a 232 year-old Bible by Timothy Priestley, younger brother of the more famous Priestley, Joseph. Timothy Priestley died in 1814 and this Bible has seen its share of use, but it is still in pretty good shape. No loose pages, but page 1 of Genesis is half-ripped and missing. This version still has the Old English long S print that resembles a modern "f" so this is proof of age. Book is heavy and it measures approximately 16" x 10" x 2 closed.
There are very few copies of this Bible and it includes the new and old testaments as well as readings from the Apocrypha. The Biblical Apocrypha denotes the collection of ancient books, some of which are believed by some to be of doubtful origin, thought to have been written some time between 200 BC and 100 AD. This is amazingly interesting in that regard.
