William Hutton was a famous silversmith who manufactured many types of goods from around 1800 to 1930, when they were acquired by another famous silversmith, James Dixon. This very large butler tray is in excellent condition, with no wear to plate on top The underneath of the tray has a border of wear around the rim where it would have rested on a table top - this can be clearly seen in the photos. Length of the tray: about 70cm (27 inches) including handles, about 56cm (22 inches) excluding handles. Width: about 44cm (17.5 inches).
Height: about 2cm (0.75 inches). I always pack carefully to make sure they arrive safely and quickly.
