GOOD, VINTAGE, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER BOX, BIRMINGHAM c1970. A very good quality, English sterling silver box, made by Charles S Green & Co Ltd, Birmingham c1970. The cedar wood lined box has plain silver sides and engine turned engraving to the lid.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark CSG&Co for Charles S Green & Co Ltd, the lion passant sterling silver mark, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter V for 1970/71. It measures 150mm x 100mm x 35mm in height. A lovely item, in excellent condition, with only some very minor light scratches commensurate with normal use.
