ANTIQUE VINTAGE LINEN LACE CROCHET BED SPREAD TABLE CLOTH THISTLES 190cmx200cm

This linen hand embroidered and crocheted bedspread/tablecloth belonged to my great aunt who lived in Thurso, Scotland. So, I think the thistles, in this case, probably represent Scotland. It is 190cms x 200cms in size and I think it is more likely to have been used as a bedspread rather than a tablecloth. There is a central linen square with thistles embroidered in each corner.

Thistles are crocheted around the whole bedspread. This has been in the linen cupboard for years and is in very good condition.

Despite its age there is no yellowing (although the lighting in the second photo is not very good and the bedspread looks slightly yellow). The bedspread is totally white. I've laid it over a dark green quilt in order to see the pattern more clearly.

There is only one small tear, that I can see, which I have shown in a photo. There are a few loose threads here and there. I'm hoping it will find a good home where it will see the light of day again.
