Antique Vintage English BULPITT & SONS Nautical MARITIME TRAWLER SHIP LANTERN

An old Rare LANTERN attributed to BULPITT & SONS, BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND. There is a heavy hinge on one side of the hood, a locking latch on the other and a knob on top for hanging. The lid opens to reveal a removable metal cone wick or fuel holder.

The lid is brass & metal & white porcelain. The metal is rusting but it remains sturdy and intact. The base of the lid is porcelain (picture 6,7,8) The brass fuel reservoir has a key and key holder, not sure what for (picture 6) I'm not sure if all parts are present. What you see is what you get. My research shows the Maker's logo and date would be on the base of the reservoir, but alas, worn off.

My Research shows a date of 1941 WW2 era. Marked Made in England (picture 9) The overall height is 14" and it is 10" across at the widest part of the hood. A very unique and rare item for your collection.
