Antique vintage 1920s clothing tailoring trade catalogue MAENSON boys menswear

Vintage / antique 1920s clothing trade catalogue - UK menswear company - clothes for boys - art prints - SCARCE. Published by Joseph May & Sons, Limited (Leeds and London) in 1928. Online research indicates that the Maenson House Clothing Works owned by Joseph May and Sons Leeds Ltd. Was based in Springwell Street, Holbeck, Leeds and comprised a factory and retail despatch warehouse. This catalogue features a range of garments for boys (outdoor coats in the main, plus one page featuring suits).

Large format hardback with red cloth covers and gold decoration/lettering. 15 colour plates, plus one page of introductory text. 10 3/4" x 14" or approx.

27.3 cm x 35.8 cm. Stunning art prints, featuring boys in a range of (primarily outdoor) settings.

A small caption beneath each print. CONDITION - PLEASE READ: Reasonably good condition overall with a few flaws. Please note: the cover is noticeably splayed/bent at the outer edges (please see photos). Some wear and tear to cover - several scratches and areas of scuffing/wear (mainly to edges, corners and to top/bottom of spine).

Boards slightly exposed in a couple of places. Small tears to top and bottom of spine. A couple of small dents to edges. Internal pages are clean with no major flaws - no stains, tears or annotations. The pages do not appear to have been handled a great deal.
