Antique Vintage 1880s Potter's Standard Edition HOLY BIBLE Leather Gilt

This is a magnificent and well-preserved Potter's Standard Edition of The HOLY BIBLE. It is comprised of the Old and New Testaments as well as "Full and Complete Marginal References and Notes" and the "Apocrypha, Concordance, and Psalms in Metre". It also contains "Blackwood's Comprehensive Aids to the Study of the Sacred Scriptures" and "Nevin's New and Improved Dictionary of the Bible". As you will see from the accompanying photos this volume has some incredible illustrations and maps. There is a wonderful handwritten inscription on the first interior page in the magnificent handwriting of the time reading Presented to Isaac A. Doughty, March 5, 1887" and then a subsequent handwritten inscription reading "Presented to Kate S. Please examine the photos for the most accurate depiction of the item.

This book is more than a century old, and has the issues one might expect of a vintage, antique volume. Having said that, all interior pages are present and attached, there is no handwriting or other marginal notations, the front and back covers and spine are all present and intact.
