Antique English Pelerine Collar Clothing textile Vintage Victorian fashion

Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! I've never seen another quite like it. Made of hand block printed fabric, this textile would have been worn around the neck. There are tiny mother of pear buttons and little loops for clasping. This textile is all hand stitched in TINY TINY TINY TINY stitches!!

This textile could quite possibly be English and not French. This textile is cotton, with white ground and greens, prinks, reds and purples, hand block printed. MEASUREMENTS : it's about 6.5 inches from top to bottom of V scallop.

The bib is about 12 inches across. The neck is about 15 inches from side to side CONDITION : As found, not freshly laundered. Please see photographs EFF 261.
