Antique ENGLISH GEORGE III WOOD SHELL INLAID TEA CADDY c. 1830

This is an antique (c 1840) Georgian-era domed tea caddy with distinctive conch shell inlay. The shell motif is on both the top and the front of the box. It features a diamond-shaped bone escutcheon (keyhole cover).

The interior usually has two compartments for storing different types of tea. This tea caddy is missing the interior lids and the key is missing.
