Antique Amherst Japan Stone China bowl Imari Minton ca. 1835 English red blue

About 14 3/4" diameter x 5" deep. Beautiful Imari bowl marked AMHERST JAPAN / NO. (blank) / STONE CHINA in a blue scroll imprinted mark. Often the blank would be filled in with a hand painted production number. Rust red and blue floral and foliate pattern, with a pagoda on a fenced path. This mark was in use around 1835.

These bowls are usually attributed to the Minton works. No chips, dings or cracks. A WONDERFUL EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH IMARI BOWL IN MINT CONDITION.
