Up for Grabs is this 3 VTG ENGLISH GREEN CERAMIC & WOOD Apothecary Jars OPIUM STRICHNINE & RHUBARB. This 3 VTG ENGLISH GREEN CERAMIC & WOOD Apothecary Jars have been stored in my smoke-free, pet-free, air-conditioned home.

The three jars are offered together. These unique jars have not been cleaned or repaired in any manner.

The three jars are green and white glazed 19th Century creamware powder containers; English Staffordshire pottery. The tops of the jars are WOOD. I believe that all of the tops are MISSING THE KNOB that goes on the top. The tops fit exactly as they should. The strychnine and the rhubarb jars have writing on the inside of the lid.

The labels are gold gilt paper labels that are very old and have aged as such. There is some missing paper and discoloration of the labels. Included are: OPIUM (OPII), STRYCHNINE (VOM) and RHUBARB RHEI. The labels are ornately accented by red and darker green on the sides and bottoms.

The ceramic pottery jars are in fair vintage condition considering their age. There is generalized wear from age on all the jars. There is some crazing and discoloration more so on the RHEI jar (Rhubarb) The OPIUM jar has a hairline crack at the top to the left of the "O" and a chip on the bottom back. There is a hairline on the bottom.

There is surface dirt on the inside of the jars. The jars all measure approximately 3 7/8 high from the top of the lid to the bottom of the jar.

The jars are approximately 2 3/4 in diameter when measured from the base. The RHEI (Rhubarb Jar) weighs 6.8 oz, the OPII (Opium) Jar weighs 4.3 oz, and the (VOM) Strychnine jar weighs 4.8 oz.
