Vintage Circa 1950's Cotswold School English Oak Wardrobe Original Fittings

Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this lovely circa 1950s Cotswold School English Oak Wardrobe with twin hanging rails. A very good looking well made and traditional English wardrobe. This piece comes with all the original hardware which is very decorative. The piece is made in a very old taste with wooden dowels and so on.

Inside you have a single brass top rail, a middle rail which sits to the back for trousers belts and ties, this could be easily moved to the front to be used for normal hanging cloths which would double the hanging space. The cabinet has been made in such a way that it can be split into two pieces for ease of transport. In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there is nothing negative to note, they will have normal patination from honest age and genuine use.

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
