Up for sale is this Vintage Antique 1876 Don Quixote Illustrated by Gustave Dore Presentation Hardcover Book. This is a large book that measures 9.75" x 11.5" x 2. It has 855 pages and an illustration by Dore' on almost every page. Many are the usual full page prints while smaller ones appear at the start of a new chapter. There's a short bio of Cervantes of about 5 pages to start, then it's right into Don Quixote's adventures. His escapades come to life with a great assist from Dore's fantastic illustrations. The book doesn't show a publication date but the book's binding style lead to a rough printing date of from 1885 to 1900. The book has some condition issues and has had some repairs. The exterior has some soiling and fading, minor corner bumps, and what looks to be a water stain on the back board. The stain doesn't affect the book's interior or the board.
