Handmade during the Art Nouveau era. Created in Birmingham, England by Constantine & Floyd, a jewelry company founded during the Victorian era. Features a locket with the image of a bird, flowers, grass, and geometric motifs hand-chased into its face. A unique border of star motif encircles this naturalistic image, which would have been popular during the Nouveau period. The locket opens via a hinge at the side to reveal the image of a man and a protective paper.

The man sports a three-piece suit, collar, and a mustache fashionable during the Belle Époque. Completed with a standard articulated bale in order to be worn on antique chains and necklaces. There are several minor dents to the lower edge and back of the locket, which does not affect wear.

Tarnish on the sterling silver gives this piece an antique quality which we believe is quite lovely. This listing is for the item only.
